Liverpool strengthen title grip with another win

League leaders Liverpool continue to impress. With a 3-1 win at home against Leicester City, Liverpool recorded yet another victory. This means the team has extended their lead in the Premier League and the gap to second placed Chelsea is now seven points. However, Chelsea have one game in hand. Leicester City are in 18th place in the league.
Leicester City started the match best and took the lead when Jordan Ayew netted after 6 minutes, with an assist by Stephy Mavididi, making it 1-0.
Liverpool equalised 1-1 just before the half-time whistle as Cody Gakpo found the net, with an assist by Alexis Mac Allister.
Straight after the break, Curtis Jones made his mark and gave the team the lead.
With eight minutes left to play, Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah increased the lead, with an assist by Cody Gakpo, to complete Liverpool’s come back.
It means that Liverpool find themselves undefeated for the 13th game running.
It was Leicester City’s fourth game in a row without a win.
Liverpool’s next Premier League games are against West Ham United (away) on 29 December, Liverpool (home) on 5 January and Nottingham Forest (away) on 14 January. Leicester City play Manchester City (home) on 29 December, Aston Villa (away) on 4 January and Crystal Palace (home) on 15 January.
